can I get some help with programming a microsoft fingerprint reader?

I have the fingerprint SDK 2009, I have the microsoft fingerprint reader, I am using mysql database. I am trying to develop a desktop time and attendance application. I'm having trouble getting my application to interact with the device. I am following sample code from griaule.com that is where i got the SDK from. I would really appreciate your assistance.

2. Some sort of http transfer error?

3. And why would this only occur on one Mac out of a whole department of Macs?
